Established in 2003 under the BC Chinese Music Association (BCCMA), the BC Youth Chinese Orchestra (BCYCO) is a vibrant ensemble dedicated to preserving Chinese musical heritage while fostering cross-cultural connections in Vancouver. Under the dynamic leadership of Music Director Nathania Ko, the orchestra bridges tradition and innovation, performing both classic Chinese repertoire and contemporary works that reflect Canada’s multicultural fabric.

Committed to diversity, equity, and artistic excellence, BCYCO empowers youth through immersive training, workshops, and public performances that celebrate cultural exchange. Our programs serve as a platform for young musicians to develop technical mastery and collaborative artistry while sharing China’s rich musical legacy with diverse audiences.
