各位庇詩中樂團團友們：

我們懷著興奮的心情來迎接新一個樂季，樂圑將於本週五(9月10日) 8 時正重新開始排練。

已收到大家的問卷回覆，知道各位都接種了疫苗，加上我們嚴格的措施，我們有信心讓大家在安全環境下能安心練習。樂團重啟工作小組在每次排練前會先將場地消毒。請大家能早點到達並配帶口罩，進入前先簽名申報COVID 細則，並且保持社交距離。

此外，溫馨提醒你前來參加排練時請需隨身攜帶 BC 疫苗卡（電子版或紙質版）。請注意，根據卑詩省衛生官員 (PHO) 的規定，從 9 月 13 日起，部分疫苗接種將成為強制性要求。隨後，從 10 月 24 日開始需要全面接種疫苗。有關更多信息，請查看：

本週五，我們會排練闖將令、電視主題曲及黃土情。請大家帶備上季已有的樂譜分譜。

我們沉痛地宣佈協會副會長陳正權 (Eric Chan) 於八月二十六日的離世消息，他遺下妻子及三兒子。我們不僅為一位有奉獻精神的團員離世而悲痛，也為他家人感到傷心。Eric 是協會創始人之一，二十六年來一直為協會及中樂團貢獻出力，大家都有目共睹。最重要的是，他一直是我們許多人的好朋友和家人。我們會以思念和禱告與Eric 家人共同渡過這個困難時刻。

Eric臨終前還念念不忘樂團的事務，其遺願是中樂團為他作一個生命慶典音樂會，邀請他生前友好買票及贊助，為協會籌募經費。他於病重期間，還細心構思了整場音樂會的選曲、舞台燈光音響、贊助商、演奏者及工作分配…….等。現經商討後，我們决定按照他的遺願構思作為藍本，於明年的音樂會去實現他的心願。

為感謝Eric多年來在協會的貢獻，讓我們一起會全力以赴，辦好今年的音樂季度吧！我們極需要大家的支持和努力，才能得到成功！

庇詩中樂團重啟工作小組

Dear BCCO members,

As we excitedly awaits our first rehearsal (this coming Friday, September 10th at 8pm), there are a few things to address:

First of all, thank you to those who have completed our online registration form. We are happy to note that all members who submitted are at least 1-dose vaccinated, and most are fully vaccinated. Provided everyone follows the COVID guidelines as per the last announcement, we are confident that we will rehearse in a safe and fun environment. The BCCO Restart Task Force team will have the rehearsal space fully sanitized before every rehearsal, and we kindly ask you to arrive early with your mask to sign in on a Covid declaration form upon entry, and to maintain social distancing.

In addition, a warm reminder to carry your BC Vaccine Card (electronic or paper versions) with you when coming to rehearsals. Note that partial vaccination will become mandatory starting Sept 13, per Provincial Health Officer (PHO) of BC. Subsequently, full vaccination will be required beginning Oct 24. We will be rehearsing 闖將令, 電視主題曲 as well as 黃土情 this Friday, please bring back the music you have from our previous season.

It is with deep regret to share the recent passing of Eric Chan, our beloved vice president of BCCMA. He left us on August 26th and is survived by his wife and 3 sons. We not only grieve at the passing of a dedicated individual but also for the loss his family suffers. Eric was a founding member of the BCCMA with deep influence in the past 26 years. Above all, he has been a good friend and a family to many of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with Eric’s family during this difficult time.

Prior to his passing, Eric expressed his desire for BCCMA to hold a “Celebration of Life” fundraising concert. During his final days, Eric spent his precious time drafting concert programme, designing stage setup and lighting, and inviting his friends and colleagues from the local communities to aid our ticket sales and to solicit sponsorships.

With utmost respect to Eric’s will, let’s spend this coming season to carefully prepare and rehearse! Your help and participation in BCCO would mean a lot to us as well as to Eric’s family.

親愛的卑詩中樂團團友：

經過一年多的休息，樂團終於决定在2021年9月10日，星期五晚上8時恢復25週年的樂曲採排。BCCO 重啟委員會努力製定了以下安全計劃，讓大家能一同安心採排練習。請細閱以下使用及出入場地的計劃與守則。

我們強烈建議團員接種兩劑疫苗。
如果您在 14 天內出現任何疾病或 Covid-19 症狀，或與任何被確診Covid-19 的人有過接觸，請留在家中隔離。
在場內必須戴上口罩。（吹管組設擋風分隔，吹奏時方可除下口罩。）
請準時到達，排練期間應盡量留在座位上，以確保社交距離。
我們鼓勵單向交通。請從正門進入，用古箏區附近的出口離開。
請自備飲用瓶裝水，廚房將暫停使用。團員應在需要時才暫時除下口罩喝水，之後須立即重新戴上。如您需要進食，請往大樓外。
BCCMA會負責每次排練前場地內的消毒工作。
每次排練後，請大家使用我們提供的洗手液和酒精濕巾，清潔和消毒椅子及譜架。
排練前後或中場休息，請大家用古箏區附近的出口移步到大樓外交談。
請盡快登記註冊，方便我們可根據出席人數修改我們的排練平面圖，並相應地準備用品和擋風分隔設備。

BCCO 重啟委員會

Dear friends and members of BCCO,

After more than a year of rest, the time has finally come for the BCCO to resume rehearsal for our 25th anniversary on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at 8pm. The BCCO Restarting Task Force has been working hard to develop the following safety plan in order for everyone to be able to make music together. Please read this plan carefully and follow the outlined instructions for the use of our space and safe entry and exit of the building.

Vaccination (2 doses) is highly recommended.
If you have any sickness or Covid-19 symptoms within 14 days, or have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19, please kindly remain home.
Members are to wear masks at all times when inside the BCCMA building. For the wind section, we will have windscreens set up, so you can safely remove your masks when you’re playing.
Please reinforce social distancing.
Please arrive on time and try to remain in your seats during rehearsal.
We want to encourage one-way traffic flow through the building. Hence the main entry will be out entry point and the door near the guzheng storage in the rehearsal area will be out exit point.
Please bring your own water bottle, as our kitchen will not be in operation. Members should briefly unmask to drink water when needed, then promptly remask. If you need to eat, please kindly do so outside the building.
The BCCMA will sanitize the rehearsal space before every rehearsal.
Hand sanitizers and alcohol wipes will be provided for you to clean and disinfect your chair and music stand after every rehearsal.
During break and after rehearsal, we encourage members to mingle outside the building.
Please register ASAP so we can revise our floor plan according to the attendance and prepare supplies and windscreens accordingly.

大家好！

因本地疫情有所緩和，政府的限聚令逐漸放寬及疫苗接種率上升，這正是我們要計劃重新啟動的時候。

經歷了一年多的休眠狀態，重新起步是一件極為艱鉅的事情。幸而，一班積極熱心的團員投入幫忙，成立了庇詩中樂團重啟工作小組，為這任務作出努力。我們有信心能讓大家在一個安全、安心及舒適環境下重啟樂團的正常活動。

為要了解新一季度團員的出席情况及意向，請大家於8月31前按入下方的鏈結，填妥該在線登記表，以幫助我們籌劃各項工作細節。各疫情安全守則及指引、樂團排練時間表、聲部的分佈、演出準備等計劃將於稍後公佈。

其中，“亞省之旅”是慶祝【庇詩中樂協會】成立25週年未完成的一個重要項目，期望新舊團員都能擁躍參加，一起見證協會的成長，一起分享音樂帶來的喜悅。庇詩中樂團的成功，是有賴每位團員的參與和努力，讓我們一起締造更美好的前景！

期待我們能於九月重啟實體的排練活動，繼續為本地中樂的推廣、承傳及發展盡一分力！

Dear members of the BC Chinese Orchestra:

Warm greetings to you all!

The time has come for the BCCO to restart as the pandemic situation slows down, the government guidance on gathering restrictions relax, and the community vaccination rate approaches an optimal level.

After 1.5 year of inactivity, restarting requires a lot of planning work. Some of us have taken the initiatives and started the BCCO Restart Task Force. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all members as we resume our rehearsal & performance activities.

In order for us to grasp a sense of attendance so that we can prepare a safe reopening, we ask you to share your most current contact information and register for the 2021-22 BCCO season using the link below by Aug 31, 2021. We will also be sharing our COVID-19 health & safety guideline and a safety floor plan for the rehearsals shortly.

The Alberta Performance Tour remains the highlight for BCCMA’s 25th anniversary celebration. We sincerely wish that you would join us in this upcoming tour as we recapture our stellar growth over the years and witness our successful stories. All of you have played an important role in our organization’s history and every member’s participation has been indispensable and are appreciated. Let us make music together again in September! Let us continue to build a strong future for our orchestra and the Chinese music community in Canada!
